Server Merger Guidelines

In order to provide players with a better gaming environment, we will be merging the Libra and Orion servers.

Merger Time
2:00am-6:00 am EDT (GMT-4), July 8th

Affected Servers: Libra and Orion. These serves will be closed at 2:00am EDT (GMT-4) July 8th and then become inaccessible.

New Server Name: Once the servers are back up, they will all be known as Uranus. It should be available around 6:00 am EDT (GMT-4), on July 8th.

Process
Libra and Orion servers will become a new server called Uranus.

When the server merger is complete, every character that is on Uranus that was created in an account which was registered before 1:00am EDT (GMT-4) on July 4th, 2010 will receive 200 GO Mall Points.

Please note – only characters created before that time will have the Mall Points credited to their accounts.

Also, the top 2000 characters (decided by the Composite Strength rankings) on each of those servers will receive an additional 300 Mall Points.

Character Impact
♦ All characters’ friends lists and corps data will be deleted.
♦ All of the Science points added to the Faction Science and Corps Science will be deleted.
♦ Only one character per account will be transferred over. The character will be decided by the highest Composite Strength score. Other characters will be deleted.
♦ All data from deleted characters, including ships built by those characters, will be deleted. This means that any characters with ships that came from a deleted character through trade will lose those ships.
♦ Players wishing to change the character being transferred over from the default one may do so by visiting the Application Page for Transferring Characters Affected by the Server Merger, and then submitting the application before the deadline.
♦ Any GO Mall points exchanged by a character marked for deletion will be moved over to the character that is transferred over to the new server.

Characters with Duplicate Names
Characters with the same names on the Libra and Orion servers will have their Composite Strength scores compared to one another, and the one with the highest score will not have to change their name. Other characters will receive a suffix of 1, 2, 3, etc, depending on what order they fall into against other characters of the same name when comparing Composite Strength scores.

Impact On Occupied Planets Outside of Home Galaxies
Characters that are moving to the Uranus server will have occupied planets outside of their home galaxy moved into their home galaxy. Other than the new location of those planets, players shouldn’t see any changes in those occupied planets.

Notes: After the server merger, there will be a maximum of 30 planets in each player’s home galaxy. As a result, some players may lose up to 5 planets. We are sorry for that and we will give out 300 Mall Points to each player as compensation. After the server merger, players will be able to colonize 5 planets outside their home galaxy after spending Science points on their Colonial Science.

Impact on Ships Located Outside of Home Galaxies and Commanders
We advise you to form all of your ships into fleets and send them to your home galaxy before the server merger to avoid unnecessary losses.

Event Rules
Each 1-star VIP is allowed to transfer a maximum of 5,000 GO mall points.
Each 2-star VIP is allowed to transfer a maximum of 10,000 GO mall points.
Each 3-star VIP is allowed to transfer a maximum of 20,000 GO mall points.
GO mall points can only be transferred to another character on the same account.
Each account is allowed to transfer mall points only once.

If you are eligible for this service, just visit http://service.igg.com/questions/index.phpduring the event and apply to transfer your mall points. Officials will help transfer the Mall Points during the next server maintenance after the transfer is arranged. However, if part of the points get consumed, only the remaining part would be transferred.There will not be a service charge during this event.
