Greetings DGO fans!

This week brings us a cool new update in the world of Dance Groove Online!

Two weeks ago, we brought you RJ KoolRaul of Supreme Soul, a group featured in the popular television series America’s Best Dance Crew (You can check out the original post HERE). Now, we have the pleasure of announcing our latest motion capture video that features a prominent figure in the world of House and Freestyle dance, Tsunami of the groups Soulshifters and FLO-ology.

Tsunami has been a part of many well-known dance companies and continues to be a leading representative for the practice, technique, and awareness of the House and Urban Freestyle movement, as a performer and a teacher who tours the country.

These dances will bring in a new and diverse set of moves to the growing game as well as the inclusion of some established American dance cultures and trends.

The DGO team would first like to thank each and every player who participated in our closed beta test of Dance Groove Online. We appreciate all of the support, your participation in our events, and definitely the feedback that we’ve received from all of you, in-game and over our forums.

To make sure that we’ve got our community in the know with everything that’s going on in the realm of DGO, we’ll be sending you regular updates on the progress of the game, new things we may be implementing, planned items additions, or other neat stuff.

Today’s update brings you some cool new images to check out. Before the launch of Open Beta, one of the bigger, noticeable things that we had been planning on implementing was the new User Interface redesign. Based on much of the feedback, the new UI design is planned to appeal to a wider audience along with integrating more components of popular culture.

Today, we’d like to give our players a taste of what the new UI might look like!

We’ve got some really cool concepts that were designed by the developer from ideas that our players have helped to create.

We would like to announce the closing date. Dance Groove Online CBT2 will close on September 13, 2009 at midnight. During this beta, we learned a lot about your needs and wants, and we got some valuable data about the game’s real-world performance. In the next release, we’ll be looking to squash some of those bugs, and we’ll be working to implement some of your suggestions. Because now’s the time to get to know your DGO GMs along with taking in more of the new cool features that this game will have to offer. Take this time to brush up on your skills, keep that edge and stay on top of the game, and meet all of the fun loving Outspark GMs that will be available to cut some rug! So relax, have a chat with Murdock and the like, or get your groove on like you’ve never done before.

One hour before the start of the event the GM will announce the event start at which point the players can freely interact with our GMs and play against them as well. This event will be held on Saturday, September 5th and Saturday, September 12th inside of the beginner channels.

Hop in game before the event start.
